An original Poor Mouchette design, featuring a highly-detailed casting of a rare Georgian-era Tassie seal. This seal is inscribed with a sweet and noble sentiment— Vous Pouvez-vous Reposer Sur Ma Constance : "upon my constance you can rely." The accompanying intaglio image shows a dove perched on the summit of a pile of stones, forever faithful and vigilant.
Our constant dove seal is cast in solid sterling silver, and gem-set in a heavy 14k gold setting. This hand-carved setting has collared shoulders, a tapering profile, and a deep bat-wing-edge bezel. The 6 claw-like prongs of the festooned bezel reach up to secure the gem. The fine details of the intaglio carving are brought out with a carefully oxidized finish. The gold setting is satin finished. All parts of this ring are made by human animals in Portland, Oregon.
This is a big, bold, extra-heavy jewel, made to weather the storms, and well-suited to both men and women.
